Synopsis[]
Mikhail pleads with Vanitas to join him. Dominique comes to terms with her inner self. Mikhail unleashes terror on his foes, but the book exacts a toll. An unexpected figure appears amid the ruins. Vanitas mends fences with Noé and parts ways with Mikhail.
Summary[]
Noé and Vanitas fall, however Vanitas manages to stop himself and not kill Noé, causing him to cry and wonder why he can't kill him. Mikhail joins them, wondering why Vanitas can't kill him, even though he tried sucking his blood and Vantas should only need Mikhail and not Noé. Noé then realizes Mikhail made him suck Vanitas blood so Vanitas would kill him. As Noé won't do what Mikhail asked, he states Dominique now must die.
Inside of her, Dominique stops her younger self from jumping, stating that she hates herself, however, she will never forgive anyone who hurts Noé and if killing herself would enrage Noé, she will not allow it. Her younger self frees herself, stating that she must do what Mikhail told her and runs. Louis tells Dominique that she must have realized the young girl is her real self she always tried to ignore. Mikhail used the book to prey on the most fragile and vulnerable part of Dominique, but their true names aren't defiled. As Dominique isn't listening to Mikhail, he gets annoyed and calls other vampires under his control using the book and orders them to kill everyone. However, something happens and dark energy starts coming out of the book. Vanitas tells Noé to leave as Mikhail sent the book spiraling out of control and it could cause the astermite in the amusement park to explode.
Small explosions cause the ferris wheel to fall. However, Dominique takes control over herself and creates ice protecting Noé and Vanitas. Dominique then jumps in and defeats the other vampires, and freezes Mikhail's leg and arm. Mikhail is in pain due to the book devouring him and calls Vanitas for help. As Vanitas gets close, Mikhail frees himself and attacks Vanitas with a hidden blade, but Noé breaks it and cuts his face. As Mikhail feels even more pain, Vanitas recalls how the Vampire of the Blue Moon died and falls on his knees. Noé's Teacher then shows up, stating that he is glad he didn't stop them earlier. The Teacher thanks Jeanne and Vanitas for helping his "kittens", but state they probably meet him for the first time in this form. As Mikhail asks the Teacher for help, Noé realizes that the Teacher was the one who saved Mikhail and told him there is a way to bring back the Vampire of the Blue Moon. Vanitas wonders where have they met before and the Teacher explains he goes by Comte de Saint Germain now. He then takes Mikhail, stating they will meet again and leaves, knocking out Noé and Vanitas who try to run towards him.
Noé awakens in his room and is greeted by Amelia, who explains that everyone is safe and they were worried about him. She offers to bring Noé water, but stops him from doing it himself as Jeanne and Dominique are having a talk in the dining room and wishes to give them privacy. As Noé looks around, Amelia states that Vanitas is on the roof and will go and prepare food for them.
Noé joins Vanitas at the roof and wonders if he would come inside, but if he is annoying him, he will leave. Vanitas states he was waiting for Mikhail to show up and in that moment Mikhail appears. Vanitas tells Noé to do nothing and just stay there. Mikhail states he wanted to ask Vanitas something yesterday, but couldn't, and then asks if it was his fault that their "father" died. He can't remember the day he died and when he lost his arm. Vanitas denies it, stating he was the killer and that on that day, someone stole Luna's true name. Luna was about to turn into a deranged monster, that's why he joined the Blue Moon Clan and killed Luna with their own power. Vanitas is curing the curse-bearers to find clues to who or what stole Luna's true name. Vanitas will never forgive the Vampire of the Blue Moon and will seek any trace of it and wipe it out from existence. Because of that he can't join Mikhail. Mikhail then states they can bring back their "father", but Vanitas states the dead can't be brought back to life and that will only resemble something that used to be Luna. Mikhail states that Vanitas also knows that the more they use the book, the more they become something that isn't human, and rewrite their very being. Just like Mikhail started to turn into something else yesterday, Mikhail is the only one who can understand the pain Vanitas will eventually go through. As Vanitas stated before he wanted to die as human, if he is with Mikhail, he will kill him if he becomes a monster. Vanitas still denies, stating that if he can choose how to die, he would choose to be killed by Noé.
After crying for a bit and calming down, Mikhail states he will bring "father" by himself. Vanitas wonders what the Shapeless One is up to, but Mikhail doesn't know and doesn't care. Mikhail remembers he needed to say one more thing and states that Dominique haven't killed anyone. The vampires became unstable when he used the book to tamper with them, but she stopped them from attacking humans several times. Noé wonders why he told him this and Mikhail explains Dominique was kind to him and he likes kind people. Mikhail then leaves and Vanitas wonders if Noé should have left him go, as he probably has many things he wants to ask him. Noé confirms, but states right now he wants to talk with Vanitas. Vanitas apologizes, which surprises Noé, stating he gets worried when Vanitas acts humble. Vanitas also states he is giving up on trying to make Noé do as what Vanitas wants, which makes Noé happy. Noé wonders what they will do now and Vanitas explains he will look into Comte de Saint Germain, but aside from that nothing changes and he will continue helping vampires. Dante, Johann and Riche show up, stating that Parks Orlok is furious and wants to see them.
