The central character is Levi, lying down on his back appearing at an upwards angle, facing towards the left. He appears as he does in Retrace LXIX: Alice; his hair is down, his body is completely covered in bandages, and the sclera of his eyes are completely purple. Despite the decaying state of his body, Levi has on a carefree smile as he looks with his one good eye directly towards the camera. Underneath where he lies, where his shadow and the ends of his hair bleed into, is a deep, dark haze of purple and black, pure Abyssal power concentrated into one place. Several chains crisscross behind Levi, going from silver to black as they enter into the pool of purple Abyss. In the background and superimposed upon the pool of purple are the black-and-white silhouettes of chains falling apart and a cracked crystal coming to pieces.

The central characters are all those seen of the Barma Dukedom, the prime member in center-place and his ancestors shrouded in red shadow behind. Rufus Barma stands in the front, facing towards the left but looking to the side towards the camera. In his hand he holds a book of his ancestor's memoirs, cradling it curiously. Behind him shrouded in red shadow is Miranda Barma, looking to the right and smiling knowingly. Behind both of them also shrouded in red shadow is Arthur Barma, sitting crouched over a desk as he writes something, his back turned completely towards the camera and his face unable to be seen. Long strands of bright red hair, snaking upwards like tendrils of smoke, snake from and between each character connecting from past to present.
