The central character is Alice, standing in center-frame and wearing the red and white overcoat she appears in for most of the story. She is standing with her arms outstretched, palms open forth and a big warm smile on her face, as if asking for an embrace. Before Alice's hands, a pair of thick chains are steadily turning into glowing flower petals of gold that scatter in the air around her like flakes of snow or flickering lights that dance. Alice is bathed in a warm golden light like that of a summer afternoon. In the background behind her is the black-and-white silhouette of a tree, the same one that shelters Lacie's grave and under where she, Oz, and Gilbert reunited after those one hundred years.

It has visibly aged and been worn by time, the stone slightly cracked and the place where the name once was completely faded to nothing, but still it stands present and strong amidst the grass and the tiny blooming flowers. A golden pocket watch is placed on its right side, and upon its face is a tiny heart.
