Introduction

Count Parks Orlok (パークス・オルロック伯爵 (はくしゃく) , Pākusu Orurokku Hakushaku), also known as the Lord of the Other World ( () (かい) (りょう) (しゅ) , Ikai Ryoushu) is a supporting character from Jun Mochizuki's The Case Study of Vanitas. He is a Vampire personally appointed by the Queen to stand stationed in the human world's Paris and monitor Vampire activities there to preserve the delicate balance between races. As a result, he is the one whom Noé and Vanitas have to converge with upon entering Paris, the Book of Vanitas's existence threatening to upset the fragile harmony he works to maintain.

Through Vanitas and Noé's journey to save every curse-bearing Vampire they can, Count Orlok acts as the primary authority figure they have to answer to and one of their only contact points into Altus and the majority of Vampire society.
