Bonus Story[]
~What on Earth?~
Before. Vanitas stands before her with a smug smile and asks Jeanne if she's feeling shy. Jeanne in response to this feels violent rage and the urge to crush him with her bare hands. After. Vanitas in the exact same smug pose with asks the exact same line if she feels shy. Jeanne now in response feels overwhelming love, even holding up fans with writing declaring how much she wants to drink his blood or eat him up.
~Love Talk~
Roland and Olivier sit together nursing coffees at a café. Roland gushes at the story they just heard from Vanitas and what seemed to be a sweet first love scenario, so innocent and endearing it reminded him of the first time he fell in love himself. Olivier asks what kind of person could possibly be Roland's first love. Roland answers with a plain smile: Olivier's younger sister. Olivier begins shouting wordlessly in shock. Roland bulldozes past this and poses the question right back, who was Olivier's firts love? This works and Olivier repeats the words "first love" to himself, face drenched in a cold sweat. He tries to formulate an actual answer but any attempt to find a person just gets interrupted with countless Roland faces grinning and laughing and saying nonsensicle things and calling his name. Olivier puts his head in his hands and declares that Roland's face keeps interfering with his attempts to remember his first love. Roland excitedly declares he feels honored while Olivier demands an apology.
~Ghost Resistance 2~
The case of Dominique. She gets a little scared when ghosts are present, but the sight of her trembling with fear makes the ghosts get excited and put even more into their haunting, which makes her even more scared, and the cycle continues. The case of Roland. He will with the brightest grin declare how scary ghosts are while not being scared in the slightest and the sheer force of his enthusiasm blasts ghosts out of existence. The case of Jeanne and the case of Olivier: they are near identical in the intent of destroying the ghosts themselves before they even get a chance to be scared. Jeanne pulverizes the ghosts to protect Luca who remains oblivious while Olivier backhands a ghost out of existence without even blinking or realizing it was a ghost.
The case of Mikhail. Tearfully he trembles and shakes and cries as the ghosts float all around him, moaning their haunting screams, all the while he begs for his big brother to come. Watching him from around the corner are Vanitas and Dante. Dante notes how scared the kid is, even crying out for him, and asks if he shouldn't step in to help like a good big brother should. Vanitas completely deadpan and expectant tells him to just be quiet and keep watching. Mikhail is kneeled on the ground, hiding his face in his hands and trembling as the ghosts continue floating all around him. He is silent for a while. Eventually he stops trembling. Mikhail stands up so fast his head smashes into a ghost above him, completely calm and face deadpan. He mutters how annoying they are and leaves nonchalantly, completely uninterested without his big brother giving him attention. Vanitas dryly explains that's the type he is, while a petrified Dante calls the sight terrifying.
