Trivia[]
- The show suffered from multiple schedule changes at the last minute due to Covid-19 illnesses and, as a result, the only showing was a single performance on January 29th. The January 30th performance was changed to a screening of the 1/29 performance followed by members of the cast appearing onstage for a curtain call.
- On January 20th, the debut shows on 1/21 were cancelled due to an undisclosed illness amongst the cast.[4] The following day, the performances for 1/22 and 1/23 were cancelled, and it was confirmed that that the reason was due to a Covid-19 infection.[5] On the 23rd, the shows for 1/25 and 1/26 were also cancelled.[6] On the 26th, an announcement was made to cancel the 1/27 and 1/28 shows and confirmed that two actors, Daigo Atarashi (Plague Doctor) and Shūji Kikuchi (Noé), had PCR tests return positive on the 20th and 24th respectively. As a result, the Plague Doctor role was written out and his absence worked around in the show, and Gaku Takamoto was brought in as a substitute for the role of Noé. The performance for 1/29 would go on as planned and the 1/30 show was noted as under consideration, but uncertain at the time.[7][3]
- As a result of the change in Noé's actor, Jun Mochizuki's gift to the production team features two instances of Noé.[8]
- Following the performance of the stage play, it was announced that there were no plans for a BD/DVD release[9]. Following this, Jun Mochizuki and the cast encouraged fans on twitter to view the pre-recorded livestream during its available three-day period. Later, from February 18th to March 18th, a panoramic view of the show was made available for purchase - however, the file was time-locked and would not able be viewed after March 19th (24 hours after the sale period ended).
